When will you guys give it up. This debacle was initiated on lies and deception.....not on reality, and intelligence. It's been going on over five years now. It (the so-called war in Iraq) has cost us a billion dollars. It was the brainchild of a bunch of brainless Neocons who had some sort of vision about the United States establishing some kind of friendly freedom loving world through the use of "shock and awe".....so long as the shock and awe did not land in their backyard! Not a one of the Neocon "Chicken-hawks" has ever served in the military. They are now jumping ship like the proverbial "rats". Now!...many young kids are getting blow to pieces so as to buy time for the politico...

LoL, that is exactly what I was thinking. How many more months before the re-surge will be a surge again?

So, when a military spokesman says it, it is so? Fruffensnappen silly-ass bull-shit.

I give you House Minority Leader John Boehner, talking to Andrea Koppel, CNN Congressional Correspondent, about the troop surge of 22,000 extra troops just prior to the (sorry-ass) State Of The Union, 23 Jan 2007:

REP. JOHN BOEHNER (R-OH), HOUSE MINORITY LEADER: Well, no one is happy
about how the war in Iraq is going. Clearly, the president is not happy. That's why he has offered a new strategy for securing Baghdad.

A lot of the other strategies have succeeded elsewhere around Iraq. But the problem has -- has been in Baghdad. I think the American people want us to win in Iraq. I think the preside...

1. There was a war, I was there in it and was wounded.
2. Not always can you believe what you read because so many sources get the story wrong.
3. Don't just rant here, take it to your congress contacts etc.
4. With all the bad press this war has taken many troops feel very let down when they return.
5. Maybe there is a bigger plan and its for the better good, meaning you and your freedom.
6. Many of the leaders in power are resigning, moving out because of the invovlment and money making these people have done
7. Even the VP had hedge funds that where betting against the dollar, so each and everyone of us has a part to play, play it hard...

Within weeks of deployment, the Left decided to resist and oppose this war; regardless of their public statements. They have undercut, demoralized, and added to the insurgents moral by their vocal renoucement of the war efforts. Granted, in America they have a right to do this; but is/has it been profitable?

Our General Petraeus has acknowledged that they have been given limited resouces with a timetable. WHEN will the Congress and Administration, when they have initially been given the *go ahead*, actually give the *go ahead* to the military and mean it!!?? Micro-managing has proven never to work.

This insanity has been going on for five years! The so-called "surge" is too little too late, and has been carried out in spite of all recommendations for a political solution, and an exit strategy that makes sense. You right-wingers would be saying the same things 50 years from now.....The Plan was not there to begin with. The Intelligent Approach was not there. The Thoughtful Approach to a very complicated issue was no-where to be found in the highest reaches of government. This whole thing was based on throwing the chips high into the air, and hoping that they fall into the proper places. It is now just a political cat and mouse game. The ca...
