merrie says: Now, if Granny Rictus Botox were to tell the truth, I think it would go something like this: Reporter: Madame Speaker, your explanation of your knowledge of waterboarding is like a sale on sh-t flavored popsicles… nobody’s buying it. So, why not tell us the truth. — which they totally did. And we rode that horse right back to power. We really didn’t give a hot damn about anything else, and we figured we could sweep it under the rug once we got in. The most evident character of both a liberal democrat and the devil is lying. It is a characteristic you just can not miss. The problem is that the majority of Americans still believe them both. That's the problem with people who have no principles. The term "populist leader" is a contradiction. If you need to take a poll to find your stand on an issue, you may be "in touch with your constituents", at least with how they feel today - given the items presented to them as news by the media - but that is reactionism and not leadership. Speaker Pelosi is finding out the hard way that disguising populism as adherance to an unwavering principle is impossible to do. And to think that at one time in our not to distant past we actually looked for people of integrity to vote into office. Now we are almost forced to accept party hacks who will say anything to get elected and once in office will do anything to stay there. ALA Spector. |
