invictus says:
Whenever there is a sharp divide between the will of the nation and the will of the state, the skies first covered up with dark clouds, then it starts hailing, and, in the end, there is a storm.

Dark clouds have been gathering ever since the episodes in Semdinli. It is obvious that as May 2007 nears, first it will start hailing, and then a storm will break out.

I definitely wanted to share it but at the same time I worried if I was bothering the community with this political murder event too much. We are living with the consequences of this shameful story 24 hours a day here, since Friday. Can't help thinking on it.

Invictus, this is a very important story. Thank you for sharing it. Those who speak out so publicly, as this author did, must be very brave to put themselves in peril. To not think of Dink, to not write about him and the politics behind his murder, would be disrespectful to him and to what he believed in.

My thoughts and sympathies are with you.

Thank you Gingembre. I also want to thank CM community for the support since Friday. I really appreciate it very much. We witnessed (unfortunately) many political murders that gave us a sharp pain in last 30 years but this latest one wounded us very hard, deep in our hearts.

You're never a bother, V. I envy the good memory of your people. Most of us have faulty memory-- we easily forget the things we should remember and hang on to things that should be of no significance at present. I can't speak for everyone but I am definitely learning a lot from you.

May this be a wake up call to the Turkish people to reclaim power.

It's always important to appreciate and remember good people. I'm with haraya, invictus - you're NEVER a bother. I didn't know this gentleman, but from your clips and sentiments - he was clearly quite a man. I've had several occasions of dealing with Armenians and have always found them to be very friendly, humorous, festive and nice people. From your comments it's clear that you're very distressed with this senseless murder... please accept my sympathies.
