I've experienced something related to this. An example: I remember what happened in a story a co-worker tells me, but won't remember who it happened to, where it happened, other details of the story. I find my brain tagging those details as irrelevant. People are ALWAYS saying to me, "Don't you remember I told you about him, he did such-and such.." I remember the "such-and-such" and almost never the who.

I am textbook female adult ADD. I think an awful lot of people are.

surfing through clipmarks I can manage the information better if I selectively read what catches my attention or really interests me; filtering the irrelevant(to me) material
