We've had several clips lately about cops tasering people. I can see why they have to taser some out of control people, but not all of these incidents justify this. Can't a taser stop the heart?

Go back ten years in your mind. Imagine someone say that ten years in the future the police would have taser weapons that all too many of them used too often, that the U.S. government would be holding people without trial for years on end, that the U.S. President and the Attorney General would condone and promote the use of torture, that the government would listen to your phone calls, track your movements on airlines and boats... I'd have thought they were another nutcase. Here we are living it.

Take them away until we're sure they're safe and the police know when it's appropriate to use the dang things.
