Yea, that's messed up. But just keep in mind that there will always be a**holes in this world no matter what you do.

Abe Lincoln said: "For every scoundrel, there is a hero".

I'm a Muslim, so let me just say, for every one of those idiots who verbally abused those girls, there are more on here who read this article and condemned their actions.

Especially those who posted.

Amen Fudzzz. I'll hear people make remarks based on color or religion. And I'll be the first to say, I understand you're mad and you feel like saying that word, but that offends me and I'd appreciate you not saying, so please don't. Just because one person made you mad, doesn't mean the whole race or religion is like that. If one Californian cuts you off driving, not all Californians are bad drivers. I know it's idealistic, but hopefully someday it'll happen.

amazingly when SuperHeros dress in their attire, no one makes fun of them, in fact many children dress up and play out superheros. But when people dress in that of another culture, it appears hate of that culture or religon seems to easily manifest.

I still raise the question of - if we cannot get along with each other here on our planet, why would any advance race in the universe ever want to show up here. Simply to be abused or hated?

There are few underlying issues here, first of all, there are people who would rather wear their religion or culture on their sleeves, then there are those who would confuse between the two (culture and religion) and insist on others to accept them as is.

That is one aspect, the other is the acceptance and tolerance of people of difference. No matter what people may have you believe, racism is still not dead in any society. We're different even without our clothes on, that is all in front of God as well as fellow human beings, so in this context, the knowledge and understanding of pluralism and acceptance of differences reign in supreme above all us. How many of us are educated in this r...

In reading the comments on the site article, a point was made that wearing a mask in America is illegal. The Bur qua is a symbol of feminine repression, under which women from foreign countries suffer human rights abuses. Let's not celebrate the garment, but the spirit that all people should be treated equally.

The above poster wrote "The Burqua is a symbol of feminine repression, under which women from foreign countries suffer human rights abuses". This is not entirely true. Yes, there are some Islamic countries that have a law stating women must wear the burqa, but then again there are also some Islamic countries (like Jordan, Pakistan, etc) that do not require women to wear it (and the women that do wear them do so of their own accord). Now in a country like America for example, where you see women wearing this dress (where they are not forced to do so), why do they choose to wear it? Because they WANT to (with the exception of some households requiring their family members to wear them). T...

More muslim "we are victims" mewling.

An interesting footnote to this piece might be someone conducting the same kind of experiment where an un-scarfed woman moves about in a predominantly muslim area...that might be truly revealing.
BTW, all this abuse muslims are supposedly subjected to, and yet everywhere I go I see many people moving about freely in this clothing, if things are made so difficult for them, it seems to deter few.
Furthermore, I have never in my life witnessed a single instance of someone racially abusing a man or woman in Islamic clothing-NEVER, and that includes immediately after a major terror event, when we hear about the so-called 'backlash" which seems to never c...
