Too true. But knowing that, should we compensate? Should we simply look at each individual as another passenger on the planet? How to overcome first impressions?

But wouldn't an identical twin be well, identical? So how would one discriminate between someone resembling an identical twin or oneself. (Assuming this has nothing to do with spurious factors such as weight and haircut, which presumably would not have been identical with family members in past times.)

Googleit: I had the opposite experience in Japan. Great people, but stand-offish in a sense. But, I found for western men as opposed to women, it was a completely different experience. But, I'm thinking you just may have found that out!?
