adamc says: Tesla is my greatest hero. Given the right management I believe he could have achieved his goal of delivering power wirelessly to the world for free. He tapped into the electromagnetic field we are a part of... like almost no other. Pop for ushering in the age of electromagnetism. I feel ya (literally). i thought Al Gore invented the twentieth century he invented the twenty-first century. More love for Tesla!!! Much love for Tesla... Tesla's making a comeback, adam. Telsa will be played by David Bowie, in the movie "The Prestige" Props to da man, for playing da man. Tesla also took the first photograph using artificial light, if memory serves. Hey Adam, did you see The Prestige? Tesla's history was interesting in the movie. I'm ashamed to say I've never eeven heard of him, but it's, erm, not my field! Anon -- my friend Bay called Tesla one of his heroes and hooked me on him immediately. Then I read this great bio and never looked back. Mouse -- yep, as soon as I heard about the Tesla part in The Prestige, I took Clipette to see it. The scene with the wireless light field is magical. Have you seen Jim Jarmusch's "Coffee and Cigarettes" -- there's a scene with Meg and Jack of White Stripes fame wherein Jack raves about Tesla and demonstrates his Tesla coil. We have it on DVD if you wanna borrow it... |
