The "surge" initiative is the last straw for many. Perhaps you are among them.

Or maybe we could respect the freedom of speech in what's left of our nation?

Respecting your Freedom of Speech and agreeing with what you speak are not synonymous, Mr. Gagnon.

You have the freedom to say something stupid and others have the freedom to ridicule you.

I didn't say you had to agree. I simply think you should keep in mind the First Amendment rather than demand that people leave the country just because you don't like the fact that they are shattering your delusions of grandeur.

And low and behold, I actually agree with something n2 said. Tis truly strange times. Now if only Sparlingphoto agreed as well.

I didn't demand that you or anyone else leave the country. It just seems that with all of the US bashing going on these days, some Americans would prefer the appeasing, socialist lifestyle that many European countries such as France, have to offer.

Socialism would be better, but anarchism is more effective.

But of course, you just assume that "socialism" is a dirty word, don't you? Maybe if you backed your claims with evidence, like showing why that's a bad thing, you would be taken seriously. Instead, you come off as a mere puppet with Ann Coulter's hand in an uncomfortable place. I guess that explains your anger.

socialism is a dirty word, we live in a capitalistic democracy. socialism would lead to the downfall of our economy. socialism is a handout. everybody wants but no one is willing to work hard for it, just take the easy road, but it comes at the expense of the people that do work hard in life.

Bush *is* using socialism to consolidate wealth, there's still the Council on Foreign Relations and Federal Reserve to worry about. Here's the issue, whether we impeach and run Bush out of office there will still be zombie followers going towards the socialist globalist agenda. Only vote for representatives who sign an affadavit to use Congress' legal authority to abolish the Federal Reserve and who will agree to dismantle the CFR. This is the patriotic thing to do, trust me, while I agree with the petition, don't think the Democrats will save you either. Really, I mean Clinton was responsible for wiretapping Americans under the codename Echelon while he was in office, and it was only after ...

Democracy? You call 2 rigged elections democracy? And consider the fact that our leaders rarely do what we ask of them. Is that democracy? What we have is a republic with pseudo-democratic elections. It's not a democracy until the government does what the people want it to.

And where is your proof that nobody would work? Do we really need a proverbial gun to the head to work? If having all you need makes people too lazy to work, why do rich kids always work big complex jobs that make tons of money? Why do rich people not retire once they make their first million? Shouldn't the turn-over rate in both Hollywood and in CEO positions be so massive that our economy collapses? Do you even stop to consider these things?

Lets look at Europe for the evidence that it would ruin the United States. Even though your going to say America is already ruined now because of President Bush, however the beauty of democracy is that after two terms a president cant get elected again. So therefore we will have a new president that would be elected into office. Back to socialism we can look at economic strength, unemployment, and our great health care system. The unemployment in rate for people between the ages of 18-24 is around 25% and if you recall about 2 years ago their was mass rioting in France because the government wanted to veto a law that would 'prevent an employer from firing one of his workers" the French socia...

Now I was going to explain economic strength but really I don't have enough time to do so because a. i am running out of character space and b. i have work in the morning. Too bad the government cant give free college educations for everyone some people need to pay for it. But i think if you read Adam Smith "Wealth of Nations," and more recently read anything by Milton Friedman it can open your eyes.

I love my country and feel blessed that I have the freedom to say that I don't like Bush, his politics or his war.
Thank you for posting this link and I will pass it on.
