Indeed, the Bush administration's sudden focus on Iran's role in Iraq may simply be an effort to provoke an Iranian reaction that could then become an excuse for war. Whatever the reason, the motivation for blaming Iran must be pretty strong, given how much effort the U.S. government is putting into promoting such weak evidence.

Good. A site called "antiwar" is sure to be trustworthy about the acts of war by Iran and at the same time objective about the US wish for peace. You may remember me saying several months ago - this is all about Iran. Still Is. The US gave Iran the rope and they are hanging themselves with it. The OPEC nations have joined with the US in crushing the Iranian economy. Iran will get desperate soon.

invictus, if Iran is being 'framed', how do you explain the fact that al sadr fled there? Seems that he should've been able to go to a number of countries - why Iran?

With everything Iran has done so far and what they're doing - they don't need anyone else 'framing' them - they're doing perfectly adequate job on their own.

RecordSage, this is an online commentary I clipped from Antiwar.com and it does not necessarily reflect my personal opinions, you know. I have never said "Iran administration is innocent", here at Clipmarks. On the contrary, I often express my concerns about Ahmedinejad's thrilling attitudes. But two wrongs does not make one right, or you can't correct a wrong by another wrong. I found this commentary noteworthy because I believe Bush administration is using the "Iran issue" to keep on expanding its military strategies in the Middle East which will put the world in further troubles in upcoming years. Believe me, Bush gang's prayers and hopes are with an Iranian agressive action which would m...

I agree with you regarding American urgent needs, I'd also agree if you stated that it's totally idiotic to have the Congress absolutely waste time on totally useless resolutions, like they just passed regarding the war in Iraq. But I disagree with your feelings on Iran and US military expansion. First, Bush has no reason to do a 4-year stint, considering he'll be out in 1. Second, we don't have enough troops to do a major expansion in the Middle East, even if we wanted to. I know it, you know it and certainly Bush knows it even better than we do. The biggest problem I see with your notion is that Iran isn't a silent & harmless lamb. We don't have any disagreement there, but if they do...
