only up to 100 notes Looks interesting. Will have to check it out. There was a service like this that came out way way back in the dark ages of 1999 or so. I don't remember what happened to them or what its name was. An early web 2.0 effort that was before its time. Being before your time is no better than being behind them except you get a little respect form those in the future. Could it be "Utok"? I used it in early 2000's I think. It allowed the visitors of a site to communicate using sticky notes. Was a project of two programmers from Israel... Unfortunately they disappeared after 2001. KM, you have a good memory. Third Voice, launched in 1999, were the first to come up with the idea. Early Wired writeup: http://wired-vig.wired.com/news/business/0,1367,42803,00.html I played around with MyStickies for a few minutes when it came out but it feels superfluous with what's available nowadays... K7, you get the invite? GD, afraid not. Due to heavy load, our servers are experiencing temporary performance problems. We are working on major upgrades and you should see big improvements in a few days. Third Voice. That's it! Wow, how did you find that K7? Akkk... I like clipmarks better. Sorry. I have copied and pasted things from the web to my hard drive for years to save as reference. Currently, it serves no purpose for anyone but myself and those I'm helping with this research. I will always do that however - save to the drive. But finding clipmarks was a god-send for me because it's so much easier to "find" things that I enjoy reading and sharing with others than to search through hourdes of files. I think I would go nuts surfing a sundry of website for the "right" little sticky notes. Is there a program that will help me "tag" files on my own PC ? bookchick49, I think the next Windows (Vista) will do that, item tagging. That would be very useful indeed, bookchick - I get all manner of confused when trying to find things. |
