Residents say they are considering legal action.Good for them. Bad idea. Property righst are not absolute, but they are not irrelevant either. Also throw in freedom of expression and worship to the mix. Shouldn't that have been one of those things the members of the HOA voted on? If a majority of the members voted for the ban, then that serves the purpose of having a HOA. If the board members arbitrarily decided the issue, I imagine there would be a legal case. Also throw in freedom of expression and worship to the mix.I know I'm going to get blasted for this, but what's the difference between forcing your religion down my throat (imo, having a religious statue in your yard makes me have to see it every day unless I take another route) and me having a nude statue in my yard? IMO either both should be allowed or neither. I find religious statues offensive, I think they are there to proclaim that you support that religion and that others should as well. Personally, however I think it's perfectly reasonable for you to express such convictions on your own property, I also feel that if someone were to put up a statue or depiction o...
