Amanda Gravel</A>, a Boston-area choreographer for Dance Place, decided to go one step further to raise money to benefit <A href="http://ww5.komen.org/home/">Susan G. Komen for the Cure</A>.   Every year in November, The Dance Place, where she is a specialty choreographer, puts on a benefit show for the foundation.  For this year's show on November 16th, she created a special surprise piece</blockquote><div style="height: 2px; font-size: 2px; background: #dcdcdc; border-bottom: solid 1px #f5f5f5; margin: 2px 4px;"></div><blockquote style="text-align: left; padding: 0px 8px; margin: 4px 0px 8px 0px; background: transparent; border: none;" cite="http://www.blogher.org/super-activists-raise-money-cause-you-can-do-it-too">She also launched a personal fundraising campaign on her blog so she and the dancers in the company could provide a check at the finale benefit.  According to Amanda, "The studio owner was totally surprised when we came out and danced our secret piece, and she was even more overwhelmed when we (as a group of 15) handed her a collective check for $1,650 that we raised in less than a week. I have my wonderful friends and peers on the Web to thank for this amazing fundraising success.
