The American-born Black Muslims, with whom I was incarcerated, are a far cry from the fanatical Terrorists-Jihadists we metonymically label as "Muslim."

They were devout in their faith, of exemplary moral character, non-violent, tolerant, and shared a familial brotherhood.

To be a Muslim does not follow that one must be a follower of Mohammed, but by the very definition of the word, it is one who has submitted his will to God.

There are over two-million African-American Muslims in the USA, most of the Sunni sect. Outside of a very few instances, which can be accounted for by statistical probabilities, most Black Muslims are patriotic, law abiding citizens, well-represented in our military with fine records of service.

Just as all Christians are not Catholic, all Muslims are not Mohammedans.
