thisnamecantbetaken says: Does size matter? Have we just pushed bees too far? Have they simply just reached their biological breaking point, further aggravated by external stresses? Honey of a story! Seriously, the essential role that bees play in the food chain appears to be unfathomable by many people. I don't fully comprehend -- exactly what is an "organic" bee? exactly what is an "organic" bee?A natural bee. One that isn't tampered with, so to speak. The "commercial" bees are bred larger and pesticides are used and so on. Like milk cows are bred with incredibly huge udders. Not natural, ya know? . Dude! I was just about to clip the same story. Who knew...? Apparently you can "factory-farm" bees! Part of the situation, it seems, is the use of extra-large plastic prefab combs instead of combs of the size naturally made by bees. Larger combs result in larger bees. Larger bees are more vulnerable to parasites, in turn requiring the extensive use of pesticides, as well as antibiotics. Crazy! This is good news. I'm going to research this one a bit further. I've been wanting to keep bees myself for quite some time. After moths, the honey bee of Canada and the US in gardens is having more birds this year. Huh? Woah...say what? That is worded just like SPAM that you get in email form. Dude! I was just about to clip the same story.Ha ha! That sentence I say to myself at least once a day. Nothing clipworthy gets passed our keen clipper noses for very long 'round here, so when clipping, time is of the essence! Godspeed enbar!! May the clip be with you! *LOL* This clip was featured on our first video edition of the Clipmarks Clipiversity podcast. Thanks for yet another great clip! Oh, you're very welcome! Anytime, guys! . |
