wiccantexan says: Worship of some newly-purchased moonshine, not the new moon, was her inspiration for this stunt. Dancing around a bonfire in her underwear, in a residential area, burning rubber and plastic? It's a wonder she didn't get lighter fluid on herself and become a torch. This is one reason that I choose to BE public, soas to give a more sane face in balance to this sort of moonbat. Agreed! I know she's claiming that her neighbors and the police are prosecuting her because of her religious beliefs, but it seems pretty clear to me that it really has nothing to do with religious beliefs and instead is based on her violating fire safety rules and noise ordinances - both of which are perfectly legitimate reasons for arresting her. Part of what really gets to me is when people do something that is clearly wrong - and would be wrong regardless of which religion they practice - and then try to say that the *only* reason they're being held to account is because of discrimination against them for their beliefs (or race, or culture, etc., there are SO many things we discriminate against each other for....) Of course when you compile statistics, you come across the much overlooked fact that the overwhelming majority of people who are arrested or are in jail or prison identify themselves as Christian. Yet you never hear or read something like, "A 43-year-old Christian man was taken into custody after robbing a convenience store today..." Religion had nothing to do with this - it was the booze talking. Most Pagans I know are appalled at the thought of mixing booze and ritual. I would bet she was arrested for disturbing the peace |
