hmm...I used to think the chargers - if they're not plugged in to the phone - do not use any energy. What are they talking about here?

I thought the same thing...confused.

It seems as though it would be an easy and appropriate thing to only create a circuit to the wall when connected to a phone, but I believe that most arent' design that way because it means adding complexity to the charger.

I've got most of my chargers on a surge protector. I'll have to remeber to switch it off in the morning.
