What it means if Mr Obama is voted in, is that my country has agreed to grow up, and move beyond the childish idea that human beings are different.
That sounds like an endorsement just because of his skin color. Would she endorse him if he was a white man like every other President has been?

I think it's a Democratic one, not skin color. She endorsed Hillary over Obama in the primaries.

I'm color-blind about Obama, as I believe many others are. He could be blue and I'd vote for him (although I don't like the color green too much).

I voted for him because he's, IMO, smart, thoughtful, has better judgement, is closer to the positions I believe in much more than McCain.

Once the Republicans and the media started to play up the race issue I thought about that as a BONUS -- something extra - a significant triumph over centuries of slavery and racism.

He is just a man with a plan that America has bought into. His color is a coincidence of his charisma. In a would of fence posts, he is a corner post.

@LoPhatt -- Yes, more than 65-million of us 'bought into his plan,' and voted for Obama this week.

Would you have wished we voted for McCain?

65-million of us thought that voting for McCain would be like playing Russian Roulette.

Maybe, too, the surprising, overwhelming and spontaneous World Cup quality celebrations that broke out in my country, 4,000 kilometers coast-to-coast -- and the celebrations of multi-millions worldwide is something to consider.

Even many of those who didn't vote for Obama over here realized -- realized in an instant second, in a whoosh of the declaration of an Obama victory -- that a major triumph in our American history had happened.

We felt good about it.

He has the potential to change course, but the prevailing winds are harsh, we will see if he is made of sterner stuff.
