This blog post is not about rap artists. I write this, because I know there are clippers who can not stand rap or hip hop. But if you care about rape and violence in the culture, take a few minutes to set aside your dislike and watch. You can even fast forward.

There is also a racial element to this sad story:

Just one excerpt:

White guy: I didn’t know you could lose your viriginity at 11-years-old.

Other white guy: Well, we can’t, but he did.
The blog post is and the links therein are worth reading. There is reference to the rape of Anthony Kiedis, lead singer of the Red Hot Chili Peppers who "lost his virginity" (more like taken) at age 12 to his father's girlfriend, with the father's approval. Imagine the uproar if the same incident was about a 12-year old girl.

Does anyone remember the 1980s TV movie, The Rape of Richard Beck?

I agree that had this been a girl/woman, no one would be laughing. Still, he said the girl who " pulled his pants down" was 14-----he was 11. Just unfortunate all round.

Yes, but the younger we are, the greater the age difference and 11-year old boys are not men. He said that it harmed him. If what happened was just unfortunate, Lil Wayne would not have used the word harm. Of course, Kimmell, Gibson and the audience completely invalidated his experience. Laughed it off like it didn't matter.

If a 14-year old boy pulled down the pants and rapeD an 11-year old girl, would that only be unfortunate?

HARM
noun
• physical injury, esp. that which is deliberately inflicted
verb [ trans. ]
physically injure
• damage the health of :
• have an adverse effect on :

UNFORTUNATE:
adjective
• (of a circumstance) unfavorable or inauspicious
• regrettable or inappropriate

HUGE difference.

The question is asked (by Jimmy) " Is it true you lost your virginity at 11 years old"? at exactly 2:54 in this video. He then picked up on what LIL wayne said and commented that "it must have been intense" and asked him "if he felt it affected him negatively". I thought this quite cool of him actually, and I only noticed this upon my second viewing. He tried to make the best of a kinda weird moment for both him and lil wayne.

Also--something curious upon this second viewing. I cannot find a place anywhere in this video where Lil Wayne uses the word "harm".

antara, since you insist ...

You are correct in that Lil Wayne did not say "harm." The word harm (harmful, exactly), came from the clip source which as I wrote my response to your comment, got mixed up in my memory and assigned to Lil Wayne. But still, "harm" does apply, because rape is harmful. What is worse that my mix up, is your use of "unfortunate," because the attacker was a 14-year old girl. Violence committed by girls matters and 11-year old boys are not men. So you can call my argument "lame," but at least I don't minimize RAPE.

Also, Jimmy Kimmel is not cool. He is an ass for even bringing up the subject of an 11-year old losing his virginity. What was the purpose? Titillation.

Only in a sick fucking country is that subject considered appropriate for a comedy (?! -see below) oriented talk show.

Repeat: Jimmy Kimmel is not cool AND he is never funny.

Wasn't so hard, was it?

No. I only took the time to consider my response, but like a child, you just couldn't wait.

Being a minimizer of the effects of rape (which makes you a member of the rape apology culture), you should consider why you find the rape of an 11-year old boy by a 14-year old girl just "unfortunate." Truly, I would rather be known to "rant" about harm and rape and on occasion correct myself, than be someone who cannot see harm where it clearly exists. Repugnant.

You took a full week (lol) and hoped you would get away with your baseless accusations, lol.

But, it's your story, tell it how ya wanna.

adios.

That is my story, the truth which your ego will not allow you to accept. Did I really take take a week to respond? Life on the Caribbean sure does make time seem unimportant. I am quite used to responding within my own good time, so your insistence ... well that was just laughable: one minute, one day, one week - only a slave to the calendar and the clock cares about such things.
Still ... the girl ... was 14 ... he was 11. Just unfortunate.
If I had to choose between being a liar and a minimizer of the rape of a child, I would happily lie for the rest of my life.

Adiós y gracias a los kilómetros entre nosotros nunca voy a reunir con usted para que sería repugnante.
