Schreck died of heart failure aged 56, and was buried in an unmarked grave near Berlin, where he was born in 1879.

I've never seen this actor play "Dracula". Have you seen it? Does he take 'creepy' to a whole new level?

"Eerie" is an apt description of Nosferatu. It's a film that you can't forget. I highly recommend it.

I have a copy of Nosferatu set to a soundtrack by Type O Negative. It's fantastic!! The original is definitely creepy. Highly recommended to anyone able to see the film. Shadow of a Vampire was indeed based on Max Schreck. I didn't get the chance to see it.
