Props to Clinton for acknowledging both sides are suffering. I've considered her one of Israel's lawyers for some time and was dubious about how she would approach the Israel/Palestine issue.

And yet, I can't help but notice that in some ways, to equate the suffering of both sides is do misstake what's going on.

One side is using the full force of the dominant regional military against 1.5 million civilians in a cage, and that's the side racking up the massively disproportionate tally of civilian dead and wounded.

Calling things equivalent when they manifestly are not is a form of dishonesty.

Still, props to her for going that far.

My thoughts exactly - it's more than I had expected, but less than I'd like.

But reason for hope.

These words sound nice but they shouldn't be trusted at all. I've been hearing these same words from US politicians all my life and the ongoing invasion, expanding of Israeli settlements and destruction of Palestinian lives and land continues and continues.

Bush, the latest President with empty lies about peace said there would be a "two-state solution," by the time he left office.

But instead of a "two-state solution," the destruction of the Palestinians is now the worst ever.

Actions speak louder than words.

Every treaty the USA made with Native American Indians was broken (about 177 treaties).

A "two-state solution," might sound good but, at best, it would probably be like the claims...
