Just think, the movement to criminalize these drugs, led to more addiction, deaths by "street drugs" and imprisonment than they could have ever imagined. Not to mention organized crime, price wars, drug wars, the DEA and its corruption. When one went to the pharmacy or responded to these ads at least one had some idea of what they were getting and there was no "glamorization" of the drug "lifestyle" as there is today. The do-gooders must be proud. I love the "joys of motherhood" alcohol ad. |
