If you use Skype - you can have a much nicer (IMO) and easier directory of Skype users, nicely segregated by categories, with photos and able to call anyone by simply clicking on their photo.

Basically - it's a way to keep track and easily manage just about any list imaginable, such as a hobby collection as another possibility.

I wrote this thing initially because a good friend of mine barely escaped a house fire and lost almost everything in the fire. This app was initially meant to keep track of things for insurance purposes after such a disaster, where the individual could jump online and quickly print the list of their household belongings, including values, pictures, descriptions and submit it to the insurance company. It's enough pain to just go through a disaster like that, but having this info instantly available eliminates the need for hassles with insurance companies as well as problems remembering everything that needs to be replaced.

Also, it's set up to be secure (SSL all the way) and private, where all of the items added are only associated with a number. There's absolutely nothing stored online that would identify your name or address etc., it's just a bunch of items belonging to a number, ala Swiss banking system.

Even though it's common sense - another item I'd like to emphasize is to NOT use any personal information on Record Sage. In other words, if you set up a Record called 'Personal' as an example (poor example but certainly doable) and create an Item 'My Address' with all relevant details in the Description field - obviously you'd negate the whole anonymous part of the system. Same with insurance info - don't call a Record "Safeco Home Policy #221323", call it something like 'Home'. You know which company you're insured wi...

To reiterate - we're using SSL encryption and anonymity for your protection, so please use good judgement in keeping it safe and anonymous. That way if any of this should ever get compromised - no loss to you, someone knows about a bunch of items, having no clue who they belong to.
