indeed... I'm in the process of moving all my flickr data to picasaweb.. i was pissed they (flickr) made me switch to using a Yahoo acct.. yet another usr/pwd i have to try and remember...

@TheCatWhispererI was “old-skool” too. Since Flickr no longer supports old-skool logins, for no net new passwords, merely reuse your old Flickr password at Yahoo. Even better, change it, change them all, especially if you have ever used a non-encrypted Wi-Fi link at some café. Sniffers can easily scrape your plaintext passwords. Then keep them on an encrypted keychain, and remember but just one password.Better yet, Yahoo supports secure, decentralized identity Open ID at IDproxy.net. Just login to Yahoo first, then proxy a new identity, and avoid passwords from the get-go.

@johnlam, that's great information. I think I'll check that out, too.

@ericskiff Flickr really is cool. I've been using it for 3 or 4 years now. It's hard to believe it's been that long! Anyways, the slideshow feature is much better. I still find it hard to believe that there aren't any awesome screensavers that can load pics and feeds. I've seen some attempts, but all fall short in one way or another.
