papananook says: Obviously this is not an exact science, climate and weather being so complex. Hoax theorists and denialists will no doubt jump all over this news and continue to drag their feet on action. So, that means the cooling trend will be as long as the warming trend that lead to all this alarmism. Exactly who is in denial here? Ah, too-soon, I just knew you'd mouth off on this one! Congrats for being so predictable. Consensus science is still acknowledging lobal warming in the face of all the melting ice. Just look out the window, if you have one in that cellar ya live in. my "g" sticks--so sue me! Consensus science is an oxymoron. Science is never dictated by consensus. And I agree there has been a warming trend, it started hundreds of years ago with the end of the little ice age. It started long before the invention of the SUV, and even though CO2 is rising as fast as it ever has, we are in a cooling trend. So, if CO2 is the primary driver of global warming, how did the warming start before the rise in CO2, and how did the warming stop in the midst of the greatest increases in CO2? Like I have said before, the only people in denial are those that think climate change didn't exist before the invention of the SUV. BTW, I wouldn't have commented at all on this thread except that you tr... Science is trial and error observation, pally. And I don't try to limit anything--i was just baiting uys like you to make the usual fools of themselves...which you did with all that SUV jazz. The spike in carbon in the atmosphere since the industrial revolution began is no secret and may very well push the planet beyond the tipping point. The Earth's adjustment will not be kind to our arrogance and stupid greed. If CO2 is pushing us past the tipping point, why is it that now, with man-made CO2 at it highest are we now cooling? Why is the hottest year since the 1930s a decade ago and why are they predicting another decade of cooling? If CO2 were the primary cause of global warming (as the Goracle insists it is), then why the cooling now? Is it maybe that we don't know everything about the climate? Could it be that not only do we not know everything involved, but we don't know to what degree? Shouldn't we be trying to learn more about what drives the world's climate instead of practicing 'consensus science' and declaring the science settled? |
