I fail to see what is immoral about what two consenting partners do behind closed doors. I'd be willing to bet that "downward moral spiral" has more to do with intolerance. Those who espouse same sex sex can not see anything immoral in their behavior. In fact any unsaved person can not see the error of their ways either. After all at one time I used to think that sexual immorality was a prize to seek after. The more ladies I could get to sleep with me the better. Therefore if I still enjoyed that lifestyle I would find anyone who commented about my lack of morals as well a hate monger. However since I have found out that there is a much better way to live I do find that certain behaviors are immoral. They do not serve for the betterment of mankind or for that matter the betterment of oneself. However I will continue to reach out to the lost and dying and those... In fact any unsaved person can not see the error of their ways either.This is really where your argument begins, ends, and fails. Equating old testament ethics presented in the bible with any form of rational morality is simply idiotic. The same books that preach on about the "abomination" of homosexual behavior also espouse slavery and the servitude of women, alongside the command to beat to death insubordinate children. Moral, indeed. |
