Damn, I wish I would have said that. Awesome. It's unfortunate he or she didn't make 500 times more money. If Obama can make 1.2 million for doing nothing, this person should have every right to invest and profit. Cheers to this person and best of luck next time in hopes of doubling their net worth. And for anyone else who can't stand the idea that here in America, we have the freedom to do whatever we want with our own damn money, pack it up and move to Venezuela. Problem solved. But but but you developmentally challenged dipshit, it was not his money. Clip-on, I suppose you think it's ok for defense contract workers to rape women too. clip-on, your such a 'people person'. Your compassion knows no boundaries. Truly a benefit to mankind......idiot! We should try not to hang shit on those who are less fortunate - but COT does make it harder by claiming to have circuits in his brain. It sounds like he sold the stock short. If you dislike the concept of betting against a company on the stock market, then you'll be interested in how lefty darling George Soros screwed over England by shorting the pound to the tune of nearly $10 billion, earning $1.1 billion in the process. i aree with COT and if you guys are so smart why dont you explain your reasoning more clearly? what exactly is wrong in this picture if this lucky guy took the risk and came out winning? i aree with COT and if you guys are so smart why dont you explain your reasoning more clearly? what exactly is wrong in this picture if this lucky guy took the risk and came out winning? And this type of thinking, and money manipulation is one of main reasons why we had the world-wide financial meltdown of this past year. This manipulator performed no useful service, nor provided society with any tangible product. And this is why the financial system will remain both inept and open to even more abuse until it is reformed, although I doubt iff this will ever happen because the upper ranks of the financial world is overflowing with sociopaths How is this some phantom short-seller is what I am wondering. Why is there not a paper trail, or am I missing something here? Since it is likely that fraud is involved, and they seem to not know who did this, something seems awry here. Possibly a seriously inside insider, or a foreign national who is connected and protected and now that cash is out of the country. Awesome. It's unfortunate he or she didn't make 500 times more money. So if it turns out to have been funneled to some terrorist organization in another country, is it then not so awesome? Or is it still unfortunate that it wasn't 500 times more, heck, we can even aim for 1000 times more, wouldn't that be awesome! bferman, Soros is only a lefty because he can use it to serve his own selfish purpose, which is to become as rich and powerful as possible. I firmly believe that if we are to save the world from unimaginable pain and suffering, we all have to recognize who our common enemy is. They are neither Republican nor Democrat, Christian nor Atheist, White nor Black. These things matter nothing to them. All that matters is money and power. They do not divide themselves up like they kept us divided. They play the game of divide and conquer and they play it well. They number in only the top half of a percent of the population but own over 75% of the wealth. It has become painfully obvious thats not e... Chestnut, now that you've identified the evil rich as our common enemy, what do you think we should do to put a stop their unrelenting, heartless greed? It's just so damn unfair. How do you suppose they got all that money anyway? re the man and the `risk` - he obviously had inside information that there was going to be an attack on Bear Stearns: thus his action and the profit were illegal ? clipontie - really you are a classic: you support these parasitic, thieving creeps who contribute nothing to society, and profit from the destruction of legitimate businesses. your country is teetering on the brink of ruin, as a direct result of giving these speculators free rein. why would you be congratulating this one who got away with a stolen fortune ? Hi bferman, I don't really think all rich people are evil, but I do believe that there are some very smart psychopaths who have attained great wealth and power by using any means available with absolutely no quilt or remorse. These are sick people. They have done a lot of harm and will continue doing so. I don't have all the answers. But I try to remind people that most of us are really very much alike and have very similar values. We love many of the same things in life. Most of us are vulnerable to the greed and corruption that's robbing us and our children of a future. Yes, I do believe that we need to put our differences aside and work together to find those answers and solve our problems. This was no accident. And certainly it goes against the grain of "fair play and open competition" capitalism is supposed to be founded on. This is insider trading, pure and simple. And guess who ended up paying this creep anyway? You, the tax payer when the banks go bailed out. Lovely! There's got to be a 12 step program for those rich psychopaths. I'll bet Oprah has this one covered. I'll check her archives! Geez, what do you suppose they do with all that money anyway? Transfer it to a offshore tax-free haven ? I guess somebody wants to be robbed. Ain't that nice! |
