What does the KORAN really say about this sentence? Is it the doctrine of the KORAN or just the ancient tribal barbaric methods of dealing with crimes such as rape? Despite their rush to exclaim how "well thought of" the women in their countries are and the movement to more acceptable means of administering punishment to offenders, this example is at the core of their archaic belief system. As usual, I suppose the "old guard" must die away
to allow truly enlightened progress to take root and flourish -- as we have seen throughout other older systems in other countries.
