I'd really be interested in a source for this. America has tried to "steal" (by which I mean patent) many Indian things in the past, namely Turmeric, Basmati and even Yoga! I'm sure whoever claimed such a thing was only responding to the uncovering of the "Vimaka-Shastra" or something along those lines. Ya, it was certainly wrong in India's part to claim Intellectual Property Rights over extracting oil from seeds which had been an India practice for 1400+ years and definitely wrong to stop ...
