Anything to get the kids movin I guess. I was the kid in school who LOVED phys ed more than anything else. At the time I couldn't understand why everyone didn't feel the same way. From the article: “I was in a mall walking by the arcade and I saw these kids playing D.D.R., and I was just stunned,” she said. “There were all these kids dancing and sweating and actually standing in line and paying money to be physically active. And they were drinking water, not soda. It was a physical educator’s dream.”After I got DDR at home, and played it 3-4 times a week I found I actually slept better. FYI: the 360 version isn't nearly as good as the PS2 version. Though it's mat is USB & can be used on a computer, should be compatible with step mania, a free ddr type game (haven't tried, might try it tonight). I think this is a great idea. Kids today sit on their bottoms too much (much like I do). |
