The issue of the conquest of Palestine also complicated by it being a central myth and central history in Judaism and Christianity. There is the idea that these are the 'Chosen People," and this is the "Promised Land," and to Christians it is also the "Holy Land," where Jesus lived and then it is linked to the Final Days and the Second Coming of the Messiah.
