We felt that the user experience was made too confusing by having a limit on some clips but not all so we felt it was necessary to have the same limit on both. I apologize for not giving people a heads up that this change was coming - quite honestly... Now that's a REAL bummer. I clip recipes etc and 1000 characters just doesn't suffice for lots of stuff. I didn't find the option confusing at all. Oh well, it can't be helped, I suppose. *sigh* Thanks for your speedy reply, anyway. i really do apologize. i know this is totally not a fair excuse, but i haven't clipped anything privately in over a year and honestly thought we had already removed the distinction as far as the clip limit goes. I had to many problems during the last change and it took to long to get the problem fixed. Why not leave something alone if it works, it seems like all these new versions are just causing to many different problems for clippers. Well, there's the problem. There is now a 1,000 character limit on all clips (even private ones).With this move Clipmarks sheds nearly all of the personal research functions it once had (and which drew me to the site 3 and a half years ago). Too bad. BB, go to View/Toolbars/customise... you can then drag the button to your navigation toolbar. I had the same problem. E.G. solved it for me. I've chosen to downgrade, back to as things were. FF v 3.0.11 and CM v. 3.5.0. Now everything's back to normal and works as it should. I can save mega-clips privately again. I have no need for the amplify option. I need recipes! *LOL* Sorry, EG.  (I just un-installed the new CM and installed the old FF version on top of the new one, as Mozilla instructed. Then re-installed the old CM version. No problems. No loss of addons or settings. It all took just two minutes. Yes that is it. Thanks for getting back to me. I can see it when I turn the Mature filter. I tried editing the clip to deselect the Mature label, but the check box is grayed out and won't allow me to change it. Is there anyway to do that for my own Clip? Thanks for the update guys I reckon its much more easier to use, less cumbersome although where can I find out whats going on development wise iwith clipmarks I didn't even know there was an update till I stumbled on this clip and tell us about amplify |
