It still amazes me that Americans -the self-proclaimed World's Human Rights defenders- decided to give their backs to those who died fighting for the same American people rights.
Many Americans believe that May 1st has something to do with Communism and big military parades in the Red Square ignoring the fact that the whole world -but 3 countries- are paying honor to a group of American workers murdered by the financial power of late 1800s. This fact is not even mentioned to kids at school.

We clebrate it here in Argentina. But the reasons are not well known. I didn't learned it at school either.

Well, it is not a holiday here in US but I made it as such for me anyway...
