Petraeus certainly deserves the promotion but I hope it's not too soon for him to leave his post. Everyone has a propensity to change things around once they start to go well.

A well deserved promotion for Petraeus.

And I hope everyone who had a hand in and/or agreed with the NYT Betrayus ad one day forgets to look both ways before crossing the street and is creamed by a speeding bus.

Nice to see such charitable tidings for those that commit the mortal sin of thinking you might be wrong.

Anyone who fights or commands in an illegal and immoral war is a treasonous. So much for your bus. We're still here.

Petraeus' second in command will be taking his spot. Hopefully he has learned some hard lessons that Petraeus endured.

Petraeus is a brilliant commander. Say what you will about who backs him in the political arena, the troops look up to him. He is a leader, not bureaucrat.

I miss Powell (cry)
