It seems really bizarre to me that insurance companies have been allowed to have so much control over health and life and death issues in the USA. Every single cent profit that a health insurer makes is one that is taken away from your health care. It is bizarre, indeed. One rarely hears a rational justification for continued reliance on insurance company mandated healthcare. That leaves the implication that the insurance lobby in Washington has really deep pockets. I may be wrong, but I think Kucinich is the only candidate that endorses single payer healthcare. Too bad that he doesn't have a prayer of getting into office.
