I think the old cartesian problem can lead us to think that somehow culture is separate from biology. If you consider culture as the emergence of complex information exchange webs which become a buffer of fine-tuned intelligence between the organism and the environment, one may see how the early search for biological changes manifested in physical developments is only part of the story of bioevolution. |
