debbyski says: We used to sing this song in our church; we were such family there. Father Harry, & Father Brian, how I miss you so! We all held hands and sang, at times like that I so miss the connections I had there, which are now fragmented due to the mine subsidence which took down our little church. But I still sing on in a different way The words. What wondrous love is this O my soul O my soul Somehow that last comment got cut-off. Sorry about that. How does a Christian grow in their walk with Christ? For myself, it does not mean substitutionary atonement or the the "left behind" series, or charity as a primary virtue, although charity is always needed. I feel as though it's about a call to fight injustice, which tends to offend as opposed to charity, which never offends. Too much work and too little time Allen. For some reason I woke up this morning at 3:26 A.M. with this hymn on my mind, and ran a general search for it. What a beautiful and moving rendition. |
