IMO its because integrity is such a scarce commodity in politics and many people are confused and frightened when they see it and lash out. Because he's a nut-case. The people in Palestine are suffering because of the government they chose. (I expect to suffer under the legislative government recently elected by my fellow citizens). Under Arafat, they were given a chance to have it all. The PM was willing to give away the farm and Sharon continued it by relinquishing the territories and moving Israelis out. Those elected by the Palestinian people do NOT want peace with Israel; they want it annihilated. Why in the world would a *civilized* nation give money to a cause that seeks to destroy millions of other innocent people? Their "plight" is the result of over 40 yrs. of propaganda, disinformation, corruption, intimidati... [i]One of these days I expect Carter to be tried for treason in America[./i] Wow! Does that mean there aren't any peaceful, willing to co-exist with the Israeli people in Gaza and the territories who could be freely elected? Probably not. I've heard, in the near future, we all will be outsourcing government to India and China. You pay 'em good and get your job done. Outsource the whole god damn government to other countries. lol mmm, and Carter died little later after all this? Makes you wonder...  I had to pop this one just to show the continued insanity of a former president I used to respect very much. Seriously, not giving YOUR money to a terrorist organization is a crime? How crazy can he get? Fifteen people who worked for Carter have now quit because of the lies in his latest book. A former Clinton official has challenged the facts in his book. Yet so many on the left dismiss all these people (who are also on the left) to defend a guy who says not giving money to a terrorist organization is a crime. I just don't understand why there are so many on the left willing to align themselves with the enemies of America just to spite Bush. And they wonder why some question their patriotism. |
