All the Gazans have to do is stop shelling/firing into Israel. Just this one thing and the world community would have the leverage it desires to force Israel to make all the concessions in the world to the Palestinians. But it won't happen; so Israel has to respond and try to protect it's citizens. Will the Palestinian people ever rise up and say "no more" to Hamas? No, because they believe that the destruction of Israel is more important than peace in the region, security for their 'territory', safety for their children, prosperity for their region.
