What? Basically what this is about is how some churches intimidate followers or else they will hence,"burn in hell" which isn't quite nice mind you. Another thing this article elaborated on was how text is manipulated so that it correlates with a vengeful ministers way of teaching. Then goes on to how blind faith, without reason or purpose with the promise of a reward in later life purged through work (of prayer,obedience, fear and reverence) is the only way to achieve this. In the end this article talks how abusive religious leaders can be in their pulpit if they eliminate opposition and discriminate on text, ideas etc. and impose religion on man! To begin with man made religion, God was not the only god that was worshiped when these gospels were found (reason being cultures were isolated and then therefore advanced at different rates), then when man wanted to record he adopted writing ( which came after word of mouth, and finger painting) when he wanted to communicate with others long distance etc. The reason why i believe that Christianity, Judaism along with Islam are so prominate because of the many interactions with in the fertile crescent and the middle east. ( well over 150 tribes) If you were to look at history and how the conservement of text before Pax- Romana and up through the rediscovery of the classics of renassaince... Religion.....the opiate of the masses. It was said quite some time ago, and it is still, sadly, true. "Either you're with us, or you're against us." Gee, where have I heard that before from some nut-case?  |
