Yes, alanocu, I have an Australian Shepherd dog named Sadie who we rescued from the animal shelter in April 2007. She's approximately ten years old and is such a joy. I also have seven cats, all housecats, who were either rescued from the road, adopted from an ill owner, or found abandoned near our house. When my partner and I got together three years ago I had two cats (both road rescues), he had two cats (adopted from an ill owner), and we inherited a mother cat with three kittens who were abandoned by previous tenants of our house. The mother cat, sadly, decided to leave us about a year after giving birth to the kittens but not before we had her spayed. I think that she left to search for...
