He also told me he saw a large amount of violence against civilians by troops that had become, pissed off, pissed on, mentally ill and snapped. He told me most of them think the "mission" stinks, although the vast majority are for being in Afghanistan where they at least felt they were fighting an enemy. He said allot of things, many not appropriate for this forum. He did say that being a check point guard was one of the worst jobs, and that even though signs read in many languages to stop, obey orders etc. 50-80% of Iraqis are illiterate, which translates into ...

I can't imagine having such a duty. This madness must end.

We could have given every person in this country health care and solved so much with the 500 billion dollars spent so far. If the terrorists wanted anything, this was it. Look at what we have done.

Someday I hope humanity evolves past the idea of war being an idea worth entertaining at all.
