I have a friend who just came back. He says the troops he was with are more than disillusioned with the ever changing "mission".

He also told me he saw a large amount of violence against civilians by troops that had become, pissed off, pissed on, mentally ill and snapped. He told me most of them think the "mission" stinks, although the vast majority are for being in Afghanistan where they at least felt they were fighting an enemy. He said allot of things, many not appropriate for this forum. He did say that being a check point guard was one of the worst jobs, and that even though signs read in many languages to stop, obey orders etc. 50-80% of Iraqis are illiterate, which translates into ...
