Is the question sexist? Ha ha. Is this the fall back position question to put men down? Can females only move up if they put men down?

No. Freed from having to be correct all the time. Not that females have yet learnt to admit being wrong.
Now females can share responsibility for society falling apart. When there was one good parent maintaining the home, there was some chance. Now? Now men can become boys as they always wanted to be while the mothers become gals looking for theirs too. Family values how are ye'.

I'm sure I must be wrong here. Firstly I'd never thought about it previous to reading the question and second and most important, I'm a man, so what would I know! Anyway the quest...

When did females wish to know what males really thought?
I am Righty. Really.

Modern men wouldn't feel emasculated if they quit acting like jerks all the time. I've found most men still want and expect it all. Everything is so expensive so the wife should work but still do the majority of the housework. Women should defer to men when it come to doing certain jobs that have been traditionally male whether the woman can do it or not, after all he's the man and he'll get around to it when he's ready and... wow am I bitter.I could go on but like I said I'm bitter. Men should just grow up.

Oy, Deb, you're brave. I read a book many years ago entitled, "In defense of chauvinism". It was such a depressing eye-opener into what men really think about women that I've never been the same since. Stripped away any illusions I had.

What made me cringe the most was that so much of the criticism was justifiable and defensible. A female anthropologist (I forget who) once said that women were the blight of humanity. And when you see women from a male perspective it's hard not to disagree with that.

You know what Michellezm? I asked the question and I guess I should be prepared to hear the answer. What do men really think about women? I think I would be shocked to hear their honest answers, I suppose. And I agree with you up to a point; I've seen women be just terrible to other women and I've never, ever understood it. But then, I've seen men be terrible to women and I've never understood that either.
I personally find women tender, affectionate, caring, graceful, intelligent, and containing strengths that I often draw upon.

Absolutely agree. For me, life would be impossible to endure without women - impossible!

Somehow, I feel like a world with just men in it probably wouldn't last too long! But I think men compliment women and vice versa.

You know, I was thinking probably because I am bisexual I am generally not threatened by the beauty of women, and that is probably why I see women in a totally different light than other women might, but that gives me an insight to how men appreciate the beauty of women. However, being a woman gives me the insight into what the female experience in life is. But I still am very interested in the male experience; their feelings, and how they relate to women.

If womens rights threaten your masculinity it wasn't much to begin with.
Real men still display chivarly and respect to the women in their lives.
Real men are not threatened by acts of respect and equality.
I say Its about time the other half of our species gets the same respect.
As with all personality studies. There is always an over-the-top and a sunken soul.

how they relate to women.
Life and marriage tells us they don't. I read somewhere the other day that men have a better chance of relating to a chimpanzee than they do to a female member of their own species.

So, Chimps are easier to talk to?

Yes, Skwirl, they're simpler creatures.

On second thought, I think I'm gonna take that clip off Michellezm. I'm having a hard time articulating what I have to say.

No problem with the underlying sentiments but certainly not how I would phrase it as it could mislead. I'm not sure if there ever was a chivalrous era but I'd be weary of it as a concept -- unless females wish to be elevated onto some high unreachable unequal plateaux of myth. I prefer real women myself.

I do remember reading a will where the wife was listed as property after goods and chattels. I still remember how upset I was. My father was generations ahead of his ti...
