Seems like an interesting possibility here. Give the Republicans what they want (more drilling) in exchange for what the Democrats want (extension of tax credits for wind, solar, etc.). You would think that this combination would show that the U.S. government is truly committed to doing whatever it takes to bring down our reliance on foreign oil.

Guess who is gonna be using those tax credits for wind. solar, etc.... EXXON MOBILE... They didn't meet analysts expectations on their profit margin because they have increased their research and development division 38%. And they are not developing only oil and gas. They have gotten heavily involved in the next generation of energy products...

I thought Reid and Pelosi wanted to windfall profits tax EXXON, not give them more tax breaks. Of course, they are counting on the sound bite of "soak the rich" and voters not researching the issue to hide this subterfuge...
