Djiezes says:
Mr. Yahya’s ideas “cast evolution as part of the corrupting influence of the West on Islamic culture, and that promotes a profound anti-science attitude that is certainly not going to help the Islamic world catch up to the West.”

As the scientists ponder what to do with the book — for many, it is too beautiful for the trash bin but too erroneous for their shelves — they also speculate about the motives of its distributors.

This guy is probably the most disgusting example of "commercial bigotry" in Islamic world. A hypocrite, an antisemitic and a ruthless chameleon of politics. As dangerous as Scientologists, because (alas) he has many followers among the Muslim population in Europe. In Turkey, he once was a "love-to-hate" man; nowadays he's almost completely forgotten.

Well, it's definitely an interesting persona to say at least. I'm quite curious as to where he gets his 'donations', to spread this mammoth of a book to thousands of people for free. A few months ago the same happened in Europe, now it seems to the US's turn.

Ah, Djiezes, I would invite you, if you're ever in the States, to visit the Creation Museum in Petersburg, Kentucky. Truly frightening. I've read, much to our national shame, that as high as 40% of the US population believes the earth is only 6,000 years old.

I've read similar things. Truly frightening.
