Is more than heart-warming, it's about suffering. It's not only that they don't recognize the persons around but their reactions change. I'm sorry for them and their families It's hart to face this.

One of my neighbors had this disease and she used to call the police and say someone had broken into her home when it was just her husband. It broke my heart.

Sometimes I feel like everyone around me is slowing going away Tany . . . my Dad died young, both my in-laws are gone, one of my cousins who I kept in touch with (long distance) just died in her sleep. I still keep a folder with all her emails. That's why I love this song by Johnny Cash:

"Everyone I know goes away in the end"

But I see the song as saying that we are all so busy in our lives in the acquistion of possessions that we fail to realize what is so important to us until it is gone, and then we finally realize why we are all here.

So far, as long as she keeps her schedule, she functions, but now she's losing her control of days of the week and time of day--and it is confusing to her that her schedule doesn't seem to work anymore. She has a doctor's 6 month checkup Sept 2, which I'll attend with her, since she can no longer remember what the doctor tells her or tell the doctor about any new symptoms--personally I hope I have m...
