I found this was/is a common practice of the Taliban (and others of their ilk) when I recently read "A Thousand Splendid Suns", by Khaled Hosseini. I highly recommend it to give us a more clear picture of the enemy and culture of death that we face.

Ah yes, the Taliban. Those brave freedom fighters who are trying to stop the crimes of little girls receiving an education and learning that their whole society is a FARCE. The only reason the Taliban attack and kill children is because they are true cowards and they are afraid the girls will grow up to question all the lies they have been forced to live with.
