enbar says: "Wilfer" stands for (roughly) "What Was I Looking For" and refers to the habit of getting distracted and lost online when you actually meant to find something specific. I do this constantly. hahahahahahahaha, OMG, guilty as charged. Is there any regular here who isn't? I doubt it. guilty I am a definite wilfer. No doubt about it. Most of my clips are found just wilfing around. I just happen upon them while looking for... yeah, what was it I was looking for? Clipmarks is Wilfer Conductive Browsing Actually I am pretty good at finding what I seek while on the internet. I tab open interesting things I want to explore but stay pretty focused on my original query to the end, which is when I go explore those other tabs. Another reason clipmarks is good, There's the distilled version with the clips, and if I see a page I want to read I can clip it and email it to myself to read when my browser is s... The internet is entertainment itself. Never knowing where the stumble! button will take me...it didn't a defining word but it'll help when I need to find a support group for unfettered wilfing activity. j/k Have you ever stumbled a topic? Its like directed wilfing. |
