There is another Intelligence that you can find in other lists and it is:

Existential Intelligence = Is the sensitivity and capacity to tackle deep questions about existence, such as the meaning of life, why do we die, and how we did get here.

There is an IQ test that also determine your intelligent type...see clip "Tickle Your Brain"

i am an Inspired Inventor. Take the test and find out your type...

sideqik, i did the test (and i just got back from friend's birthday, a bit tipsy), my results: Your IQ score is 127, Your Intellectual Type is Visual Mathematician.

COOL!

I wouldn't put any money on that test though

That's great!!!...If it's COOL! for you it means you didn't know your intellectual type. So the clip really help us find our goals and that is good...

First: Existential intelligence is not a separate kind of intelligence in Gardener's theory (i thought it was)

Secondly: Actually, there's even more as said by Gilford (about 140 i think). The thing is: it's impossible to measure all of those types by psychologists, therefore the most used theory is the Gardener's one.

Wow Crucius...that is good to know...For me is an interesting point of view...I would like to read about Gardener's so I'll try to find more information about him for my own interest...Thank you...

this site make a decent look onto Gardener's theory http://www.infed.org/thinkers/gardner.htm but of course it's always better to use a online library or the book "T. Hatch and H. Gardner (1993) 'Finding cognition in the classroom: an expanded view of human intelligence' in G. Salomon (ed.) Distributed Cognitions. Psychological and educational considerations, Cambridge: Cambridge University Press. " or also "Gardner, H., & Hatch, T. (1989). Multiple intelligences go to school: Educational implications of the theory of multiple intelligences. Educational Researcher, 18(8), 4-9.".

(I'm studying psychology at UTAD (Portugal) so i'm sorry for beign a bit boring but you know...)

I can understand you Crucius...Is good too have more information to be clear in some points...I love psychology and if you are studying it for sure you know more than me of these...I found this point of the 8 Intelligences Types of great interest that's why I appreciate your concern....

Thank you...
