Not much difference than in the way some of our own prisons are run and inmates treated. Why worried about a bunch of suspected terrorists?

This is a FYI clip. If you (as an informed citizen) are interested in knowing the *mindset* of the US military regarding detentions and interrogations and if you would like to know which rules and concepts are / were at play at Gitmo, (so you f.ex. can understand when and if the stated rules are violated) then you might like to read the manual. Accountability. Checks and balances. This helps you with the checking bit. You're welcome to take it or leave it.

What should happen is they should bring all those prisoners to the US and put them into the justice system so they either get a fair trial or release them.
